Not a single millipede in sight again today.
We cut down lots of trees to improve airflow.
It’s a slope, so cutting is slow going!
And the batteries run out fast, so we can’t get much work time in!

Lunch was beef tongue!

We ate it with bread and red leaf lettuce bought at Hayama Station (葉山ステーション, a local farm-produce shop). We lightly warmed and toasted the bread on the wood stove using a hot sandwich plate, so it was nice and fragrant!
Even though we were indoors, it felt like eating a meal in the middle of a mountain hike. Seriously delicious!

We also got some plastic cardboard ready to wrap around the house’s concrete foundation. It started to rain, so the installation will have to wait for another day.
