After receiving a report that millipedes had appeared, we carried out an on-site survey.
They were scattered here and there indoors. When we opened the underfloor inspection hatch, we found many dead millipedes, but they appeared to be relatively old.

There weren’t many outdoors.

On the other side of the building, there were dead millipedes.

We asked a professional pest-control company for a quote on millipede extermination, and they quoted ¥70,000. Not only is that expensive, but they also said there was no guarantee it would work.
After all, spraying pesticide is only a temporary, symptomatic treatment.

Encroachment from the Neighboring Land
Plants and trees encroaching from the neighboring land have become a serious problem.

All of these have grown over from the neighboring property.

Airflow has worsened, and the trees in the adjacent woods block the sunlight, creating an environment in which wood rots easily.

A large amount of sand, fallen leaves, and other debris has built up under the wood deck.
