Current Situation
Checking through the underfloor access hatch, we found a large number of dead millipedes.
However, they did not appear to be recent; we believe the carcasses had been accumulating for quite a long time.
We suspect they are getting in through the foundation ventilation packing.
Many live millipedes can be seen around the window frames.
This is the boundary with the adjacent woods. Sand tends to accumulate here, and millipedes live in damp environments like this.
Countermeasures
For now, we will keep monitoring the situation.
The number of millipedes has decreased compared with before, so we hope the problem will die down on its own.
