My first visit in about a month.
I put aluminum tape around the entrance tiles so millipedes couldn’t climb up, so let’s check the results.
Unfortunately, the millipedes are still getting in. I can’t tell whether they are climbing over the aluminum tape or climbing up somewhere else and making their way to the entrance. Without installing a camera, it’s hard to track their movements.
It’s also tough that they are nocturnal, so you have to watch for them at night.

As before, lots of them have gathered on the shaded concrete that millipedes love.

Many have also gotten indoors, and quite a few of them were still alive.
The measures I took over the winter had little effect… 😭 They no longer show up on the second floor, though, so sealing the gaps upstairs seems to have worked.

There was also a dead centipede.

Hmm. This is rough…
Maybe I’ll call the town office again. I’ll also contact Yokosuka City and the landowner to ask them to do something about the protection forest trees crossing onto our property.
Neither the landowner nor Yokosuka City will do anything. I’m furious.
I’m going to look into court precedents.
