Five Hours of Thorough Cleaning

We spent five hours straight cleaning, including wet-mopping the wooden floors and scrubbing the kitchen, bathroom, and other wet areas.

Hayama is cooler than Tokyo, so you don’t sweat much even while cleaning, which makes the work comfortable.

Cleaning Tips

Dust could be blown out all at once with a Makita blower, which made the work efficient.

Polishing the Sink

We used a polisher on the sink to bring back its shine.

Disposing of Wood in the Wood Stove

Wood that had started to weather was disposed of by burning it in the wood stove.

A Break After Work

On the way home, we bought croquettes at Hayama Station (葉山ステーション) and took a break with a matcha frappé at Hinode Chaya (日の出茶屋).

Since we had only had sports drinks while working, this was a treat for ourselves for about ¥650.

Next Steps

After tidying up the exterior, we plan to start looking for tenants.
