Current Situation
This is our first visit of 2023.
Even though it is still cold, the millipedes have already become active.
Bathroom
Millipedes have collected in the bathroom.
They can also be seen on the concrete in the washing machine area.
In the underfloor storage compartment, it looks like once a millipede falls in, it cannot climb back out.
We suspect they are getting in and out through this gap in the wall.
Many millipedes are still getting in through the window sashes. Even closing the storm shutters does not keep them out.
We sealed the gap around the pillar, and we no longer see any getting in there.
Dead millipedes can also be found in the second-floor toilet.
The drain facing the woods at the back is clogged. It needs cleaning before millipede season.
We will probably need to buy a shovel to clear the debris from the drainage ditch.
Along the left side of the building there are hardly any dead ones, but a few live millipedes can be seen here and there. They are active even in winter.
